Firm hopes to raise $100k for charity
04/16/2007

A Metuchen-based home party company, Learning is an Art, is donating all of its April profits to a nonprofit agency working to train medical staff in Eritrea.

The company hopes to raise $100,000 by the end of the month.

Physicians for Peace, in collaboration with the Eritrean Ministry of Health and the
George Washington University Medical Center, will use the donated money to help build a residency program to train local medical specialists in the stressed African nation of Eritrea, where the current medical staff is heavily strained.

Learning is an Art sells educational toys and games through home parties, where they showcase and sell products.
